Oily and attractive with a firm draw and even burn. The cigar is woody, nutty, bold and strong, showing hints of cocoa bean on the finish.

Litto Gomez has built a reputation for creating powerful, creative cigars. The La Flor Dominicana Air Bender line, which debuted in January 2010, shows his talents. Air Benders are powered by serious, hearty tobaccos. Beneath a gleaming, dark and oily wrapper grown in Ecuador from Habano-seed lies Dominican tobaccos grown on Gomez's farm in La Canela. The complexity of flavor in the cigar comes from using three seed varieties in the blend: Sumatra, Corojo and piloto Cubano. The La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Matatan, a robusto, is bold and zingy, with a considerable red pepper kick. The name Air Bender comes from the Kung Fu movies Gomez loves, and he likes to say he's bending the air when he smokes a cigar.
